Seasonal highlights, every year

Late winter

Rye Bay Scallop Week

A whole town cooking one perfect ingredient a hundred ways. Special menus in restaurants and pubs across Rye and the bay.

Spring & summer

Kites, lagoons and long evenings

Lifeguards return in early May, the kite beach fills with colour, and low tides leave warm lagoons. Great Dixter is glorious from spring through to the autumn dahlias.

Autumn

Festivals, bonfires and murmurations

Rye Arts Festival in September, the Hastings and Rye bonfire processions in October and November, and starlings swirling over the marsh at dusk.
